How Do Kids Learn Through Building? +
Between ages 5-6, children are ready to develop and refine fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Each turn, each bolt, and each project strengthens these foundational abilities. At this age they can follow multi-step instructions and understand cause-and-effect. By ages 7-9, kids enter the Concrete Operational Stage where logical thinking develops. With a real wrench in hand, they're building on those coordination skills while developing problem-solving, planning, and precision. They'll understand why accuracy matters, troubleshoot independently, and begin to grasp real mechanics. Chomp grows with your builder through each stage, turning play into meaningful skill development.
What Is ASTM-F963? +
